A true monument to gluttony. My wife and I always enjoyed making the trip out because the buffet reminded us of waking up in vegas and stumbling to the bellagio buffet. Casinos in Prior Lake, MN.
The SMSC opened Little Six Bingo in 1982, which became Little Six Casino in 1990 following the passage of the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988 and the signing of a gaming compact between the SMSC and the State of Minnesota. The SMSC and other Minnesota tribes were the first in the United States to negotiate and sign tribal-state compacts with a state government related to gaming.[4]
Mystic Lake Casino Hotel opened in 1992. It is named after the nearby lake of the same name. Its success has helped fund SMSC goals, including economic diversification and improvements to tribal infrastructure and services from the 1990s to the present.
In 2012 the SMSC initiated a 10-year cooperative agreement with Canterbury Park in neighboring Shakopee, Minnesota, to support increased purses for live horse races and joint marketing opportunities between Canterbury Park and Mystic Lake.[5] In 2013, the first full racing season under the agreement, Canterbury Park completed its longest season since 2006, with a purse distribution that was double the amount paid out to the horse owners in 2011.[6]
In 2018 Mystic Lake Center opened, the newest addition to Mystic Lake Casino Hotel. The 70,000-square-foot meeting and event space accommodates groups of all sizes for a range of meetings and events – from business meetings to holiday parties to conferences and expos to weddings. Mystic Lake Center has a nine-story, 180-room hotel tower; three large ballrooms with flexible layouts; several smaller meeting rooms and an executive conference room; and plenty of natural light and stunning golf course views[7].

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s first and highest priority is to ensure the health and safety of our members, employees and guests.
As a sovereign nation, the SMSC is closely monitoring the situation, consulting with the State of Minnesota and Scott County, and following guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
We are taking a vigilant approach while information about COVID-19 and its spread continues to develop. In recent days, we have implemented a number of precautions at our enterprises to ensure the health and safety of our members, employees and guests. We will continue to update this webpage as new information develops or as additional changes are made.
While the SMSC and its enterprises are not required to follow Minnesota’s statewide mask mandate, the SMSC has its own face covering policy. Employees, customers and guests will be required to wear masks when on any SMSC property and when they are unable to maintain proper social distancing requirements of at least six feet apart.
Our enterprises
Our enterprises have standard cleaning protocols in place that regularly disinfect shared surfaces, sanitize food and beverage equipment, and systemically clean all areas of our gaming and tribal operations. These standard procedures are in place to prevent the spread of any number of viruses, but we are reminding employees to be extra mindful during this time, and we are continuing to do everything we can to make sure our environments are as clean as possible.
We have also implemented the following changes to the SMSC’s enterprises:
- Mystic Lake Casino and Little Six Casino: Open with reduced occupancy and proper social distancing. Learn how we’re taking action to keep you and our team members safe and healthy >>
- Dakotah Meadows RV Park: Operating hours will be 8am-4pm daily until further notice. In an effort to keep our guests and staff safe, the public restrooms/bathhouses will be closed until further notice. While our laundry room remains open, we ask that guests follow social distancing practices. The RV Park has implemented additional safety protocols for guests. Please read our updated policies surrounding COVID-19 >>
- Dakotah! Sport and Fitness: To help combat the spread of COVID-19, Dakotah! Sport and Fitness will be temporarily suspending new memberships effective November 19. We are canceling all group activities, and suspending the use of the gymnasium and ice arena effective November 21-December 20. During this time, the facility will also be reducing its hours of operation to the following: 6am-6pm, Monday-Friday, and 6am-noon, Saturday-Sunday. Please read our updated policies surrounding COVID-19 >>
- Education Department: Student Support Teachers are working remotely and are available to students on their caseloads through phone and email.

To facilitate this process, we encourage you to call ahead at 952.233.2900 with your credit card information. It will be stored in a secure, encrypted format. Eliminating the collection of credit cards at the drive-thru will reduce virus exposure and speed up the transaction process. - The Meadows at Mystic Lake: The Meadows at Mystic Lake is closed for the season; however, the Pro Shop remains open.
