My mom was telling me that last time she was there, which was about 5 years ago you didnt have to pay for drinks (beers) at the casino%26#39;s even if you weren%26#39;t gambling, she said you could just walk up to the bar and order a bottle of beer and they would give it to you free of charge, can someone who has been there lately let me know if this is true????
Do you get free drinks at the casino's??
We were just there, and from what I observed the only payments were tips for the servers.
Do you get free drinks at the casino's??
That is true, at least at Resorts. The bar was open 24 hours and it was often quicker to walk over and order on my own rather than wait for the waitress to circulate. The bartender never asked me for money or any proof I was gambling. The only downside is they will only let you get one drink at a time, so you can%26#39;t bring one back for anyone else. We loved that all the casinos in Tunica served a large variety of bottled beer (and even Shmirnoff Ice at some).
Have fun!

Yes, you do get free drinks at the Grand...anything from bottled water to alcoholic drinks. The coctails (waitresses) go through the aisles asking if anyone wants a drink. Tell her what you want and she will bring it to you if you stay at that machine or in that area of the casino. We usually tip them $1. Sometimes I have asked for 2 bottles of water and she gives them to me. They request that you be seated so the cocktail will know where to find you.
Most of the bars will make you pay for your drinks unless you%26#39;re playing video poker there. You might get away with getting one drink for free by telling them you%26#39;re playing right nearby and no servers have been by. But after that expect to pay. Coctail waitresses are in abundance there so it%26#39;s rarely a problem.
All casinos offer free drinks in the casino, usually via waitresses. Many casinos often have an alcove wherein a bar is located and usually will not charge patrons who walk up even though they have no way of knowing if that particular patron is actively gambling.
It is also common for a waitress to approach people who have entered the casino but are not yet actively gambling and ask if they would like a complimentary drink. It is NOT necessary to be actively gambling, but it is certainly easier to get prompt service that way.
The drinks are provided free of charge because it is clearly a benefit to the casino. It is customary to tip the waitresses, particularly if service is prompt. The average tip seems to be a dollar a drink but this is flexible and you should never feel obligated to tip a waitress, even if the delay or mistake was not her fault. Usually a waitress splits her tips with the bartender.

Someone from my group was wanting to know if you were able to get like an Ameretto Sour or any other mixed drink free if you were playing the tables or the slots? Please advise. By the way my group is still in need of Dining Coupons if anybody can help us out. Thanks in advance.
Yes, you can get just about any drink you might want.
However, you should realize that the bartender and the waitress make their tips on their speed of service. So its courteous to not order any unusual drinks, just whatever drinks you might normally find in a high-volume bar. If you order something the waitress or bartender are unfamiliar with they will let you know.

Some drink that is truly exotic and will take alot of mixing and measuring, should be ordered elsewhere, not in a high volume casino.
